Rohemu Torn

The 16-story TORN is the tallest student residence in Estonia. The upper floors offer stunning views of the university campus and the city of Tartu.

The dormitory provides practical and comfortable accommodation options in two- and four-room apartments. You can choose between single and double rooms with shared kitchen, bathroom, and toilet. Among the rooms, there are also family rooms, ideal for students with children or larger groups of friends, accommodating up to eight residents.

The lobby features a public food-sharing cabinet, a GoBox snack and coffee vending machine, and a microwave. In the basement, there is a laundry room with professional machines. The building is equipped with four elevators. Next to the building, there is a locked bicycle house.

There is a Rohe Hostel on the first and 16th floors of Torn residence. On the 16th floor, there is a spacious lounge with a sauna available for booking for various events. TORN’s dormitory is covered by a free WiFi network. Students can connect to the “eduroam” (Educational Roaming) network.

The dormitory is located in parking zone X167. Residents with a contract can park their cars for a discounted rate of €20 per month, subject to availability. The higher floors offer beautiful views of the university campus and the nearby park area. The park has seating areas, shelters, a ping-pong table, hammocks, a community greenhouse, and a charming garden house for relaxing outdoors. Most main university buildings are just a short walk away.

The nearest bus stops when heading toward the city center are Maaülikool and Tuglase, and toward the outskirts, Tuglase and Tartu Näitused. A long-distance bus stop is also nearby. Additionally, there’s a Tartu Bike Share parking station near the building. TORN is a vibrant student residence full of energy and activity. Here, you can fully immerse yourself in student life.

Single room

Choosing a single room in TORN means living in an apartment with two single-bed rooms. Each room is furnished with a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe, and shelves. A large window brings in plenty of natural light. The kitchen, bathroom, and toilet are shared with a flatmate. The kitchen includes a fridge, stove (no oven), dining table, and chairs.

A single room offers enough privacy while allowing you to experience the fun of dorm life by sharing spaces with a flatmate.

Double room

Choosing a double room in TORN means living in an apartment with two double-bed rooms. The practical and cozy rooms are furnished with beds, desks, wardrobes, and shelves. The kitchen, bathroom, and toilet are shared with other flatmates. The kitchen is equipped with everything necessary for cooking, including a fridge, stove (no oven), dining table, and chairs.

A double room is a great choice if you want to experience authentic student life and enjoy socializing. Move in with a friend or meet new flatmates here.

Family apartment

The family apartment accommodates up to eight people and is particularly well-suited for a larger group of friends or two families (with children). On the right side of the apartment, there is a small hallway, two double rooms, a toilet, and a bathroom. On the left side, there is another hallway, two double rooms, toilet and bathroom. In the center of the apartment, there is a spacious shared kitchen with plenty of cupboard space, a large dining table, chairs, a stove (no oven), and two fridges.

The layout of the family apartment offers a balance between privacy and shared living.

Sauna

Up on our 16th floor, you’ll find a cozy sauna and a spacious lounge with breathtaking city views – the perfect spot to unwind above the rooftops of Tartu.

Rohemu Betton

BETTON Student Residence offers practical and comfortable accommodation in two-room
apartments.

You can choose between single rooms or double rooms with shared kitchen, shower, and toilet. Among the options, Betton also features cozy studio apartments with a wide bed, kitchenette, and private bathroom. Perfect for couples or solo living. Weekly cleaning service is included in the studio apartment price.

On the ground floor of Betton, there is a lounge area and a laundry room. The basement has a locked bicycle storage room. The five-story building is equipped with an elevator. (The house also features various recreational and workspaces for studying and leisure, such as a teamwork room with a big table and large whiteboard, a yoga room, a reading room, and others.)

There is a free Wi-Fi connection all over the Betton Student Residence. Students can also connect via the “eduroam” (Educational Roaming) network.

Around the student house is parking zone X167. Contract residents can park their cars at a discounted rate of €20/month, depending on availability. In front of the building, there’s a green park area with seating spaces, sheltered areas, a ping pong table, hammocks, a community greenhouse, and a lovely garden house for outdoor relaxation. A practical single room is ideal if you prefer to focus on studying and value more privacy. A cozy place to call home during your studies.

Double room

By choosing a double room at Betton, you’ll live in an apartment with two bedrooms, each accommodating two people. The rooms are bright and practical, equipped with beds, desks, wardrobes, and shelves. The shared kitchen includes a fridge, stovetop (no oven), dining table, and chairs. The shower and toilet room are shared with your flatmates.

Studio apartment

Betton’s studio apartments are completely independent living spaces, ideal for one resident or a couple. The apartment features a comfortable wide bed, a desk, chairs, a large wardrobe, and shelves. The private kitchenette includes a fridge, stovetop (no oven), and sufficient cupboard space for all your essentials. The private bathroom ensures extra convenience. A weekly cleaning service keeps the apartment fresh and tidy.

Choose a studio apartment if you value privacy and a cozy, homelike atmosphere.

Family apartment

The two-room family apartment comes with a private kitchen, shower, and toilet. The rooms can be arranged as a living room and a bedroom or as two bedrooms, one of which can be a children’s room. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, stovetop (no oven), dining table, and chairs.

The family apartment is a practical and comfortable choice for living with your loved ones, ensuring everything you need for everyday life.

Parking

In Rohemu Campus student housing area, between Fr. R. Kreutzwaldi 52 (Torn) and Tuglase 7 (Betton), is a parking zone X167.

Rohemu Campus has partnered with SNABB OÜ to provide this parking service. Their task is to ensure a conveniently functioning system and to make sure that all the parking requirements are met. Redeeming the parking right and access to the parking area is possible through the SNABB mobile app.

Contractual residents of Rohemu Campus have a discounted price of 20€/month for parking in the designated parking area. To receive the discount and parking right, you must notify us of your wish in advance by sending the following information to haldus@rohemucampus.ee: your full name, room number, phone number, vehicle registration plate number.

After that, you will be sent a unique discount code, which will apply the discounted price when entered in the SNABB mobile app. There are a limited number of discount codes and they are issued according to the number of available parking spaces. The code will be valid until your rental contract officially ends and must be renewed if the rental agreement is extended.

To access the parking area, the corresponding parking barrier must be opened in the SNABB mobile app. Registered vehicle numbers are added to the parking management system and the entrance to the area becomes automatic, using a license plate recognition camera, which records the entering vehicle’s number and opens the barrier, if the parking permit is valid.
The barrier opens when starting short-term parking.

When leaving the parking area, the parking period must be ended in the mobile app. Parking in the parking area is allowed in all parking spaces that are not separately marked with a sign. The parking area behind Tuglase 7 (Betton) is reserved for the staff of the Estonian University of Life Sciences. Parking spaces outside the parking barriers are reserved for temporary parking, where parking with a parking clock is allowed for up to 30 minutes. This allows food couriers, taxis and guests of residents to park their vehicles temporarily for free.
